January PS Plus Lineup: A Bold Choice with Suicide Squad and Classic Favorites
- 03 Jan, 2025
As the new year approaches, excitement around gaming continues to build, especially with the PlayStation Plus lineup. This month, Sony has opted for a surprising route, choosing to announce the first wave of PS Plus games for 2025 without sticking to the traditional pre-Christmas reveal.
The latest offerings for Essential subscribers will be available starting January 7th. Among the three titles, two stand out as particularly noteworthy: Suicide Squad: Task Force X vs. the Justice League, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable Parable: Ultra Deluxe. Each game brings a unique flavor to the mix, though the inclusion of Suicide Squad raises some eyebrows.
It's quite curious that this game is part of the lineup, especially since Rocksteady has announced they will cease support for it shortly. There’s speculation that Warner Bros. aims to encourage final cosmetic purchases for a game that didn't resonate well with players upon launch less than a year ago.
Regardless of the circumstances, the three titles will swap out It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem on Tuesday. Make sure to play the exiting trio before they are swapped out for the new games.
